Goblin Errands
A downloadable game
Goblin Errands is a no-prep RPG for 2 to 4 goblins and one Tall Person. Together you'll go on comical (mis)adventures trying to complete seemingly mundane tasks as you struggle with a world not designed for you.
You've just joined a new family of goblins and you are determined to prove yourself useful. Clearly, the best way to do so is by running errands for the community: Buying vegetables at the market or procuring the services of a local wizard to get your wise leader unstuck from his chamber pot.
Unfortunately as a goblin you live in a world made for folk much bigger and stronger than you. And on top of that you have only a single brain cell to work with - and one that you have to share with your fellow goblins. Even otherwise ordinary everyday tasks turn into hilarious challenges.

- 52 page rule book
- Random generator for your goblin community
- Random generator for quick errands

I've run this twice now, at a convention and with friends, and had a blast each time. Building a kenn with players gives you instant themes to incorporate into the game. My first group lived in a swamp and decided their culinary delicacy was anything dry, so they had to pay the rent on the "magical" dry box which had been repoed. The 2nd randomly decided to worship Wile E. Coyote so I sent them on a Looney Tunes-esque quest to find the fabled ACME warehouse.
My only problem (from a GM/TP perspective) has been the side quests. Introducing any more than one feels like I'm shoehorning, but that may be my lack of GM experience.
Overall it's an awesome game. Well written for newbies & experienced players alike, doesn't have too many mechanics, and doesn't feel like it's missing anything.
I have played this game yesterday with my rpg club and they all loved it! Very fun, very imaginative and as the Tall Person, I have to thank you for creating a very well written guide on how to create adventures in this game. I was suprised how little I had to actually create beforehand and the game still run amazingly.
My son is very excited about this game! I bought a physical copy at my FLGS for $18; is there a way I could get the digital downloads as well?
we‘re part of the bits and mortar program. So if your FLGS is a part of that initiative (free of charge), then they can send you a pdf copy through that system. That is generally essiest.
Hello and thank you for your response.
My store is part of the Bits and Mortar program, but the Bits and Mortar site doesn't seem to be fully operational right now. "Bits and Mortar is under maintenance. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible but expect the site to be down for the foreseeable future."

My reason of inquiry was because I was especially hoping to get these digital items:
I'm sure once the site is up my shop can get them for me.
Thanks!
I am also having the same issue. I bought the book from my FLGS but it didn't come with the digital items.
My shop tried to get it for me when I asked, but the Bits and Mortar website they get it from isn’t working. Once the site is up, my store (and yours, probably) can get the files to share with purchasers.
Hi, Bits and Mortar is back up!. However, the download package did not include the following files mentioned above:
(It does have the entire book, the spreads, the playbooks, an epub, and a Sharkbomb PDF.)
Are those missing electronic supplements available?
Thanks.
All these extras are also available through Bits and Mortar. There's a Goblin Errands download and a separate Goblin Errands Extras download. Maybe that wasn't the best way to arrange things but it is available through that.
My shop was able to get me the extras download. Thank you for guiding us on this. My family is very excited to play the game and the Extras will help me facilitate that.
Glad it worked out and I am more than happy to help! I wish you all a lot of fun with the game!
I shared this with a group of friends and just talking about what we're planning to play is already giving us so much joy. What a wonderful concept beautifully simple in execution! 💖
Thank you for the compliments! I am really happy you're having so much fun even before starting to play! 💚
Absolutely fantastic game! Perfect for one shots (90 to 120 minutes) and really plays up the dumbest parts of RPGs in a fun and weirdly relatable way.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I am happy to hear you're enjoying the game...
I just ran my first round of this, and what an absolute delight. Describing the goblin-eye view of events led to utter madness (the goblins eventually determined that a banana wasn't a fruit at all, because fruits are round and juicy, and instead it must be a kind of soft cheese), and looking for places to inject kindness and humor into the proceedings made for such a warm experience.
So happy to hear this! Sounds like a perfect session!
I would very much like to try this in my home writing experiment with my students this year. Would it be possible to get a community copy? Thanks!
If so my email is Sharyna at gmail dot com … if not, I understand!
Hey! Can you reach out via e-mail and let me know what you're planning to do? You can use the contact form at the www.sharkbombs.com website.
I sent an email via your contact form. Thanks!
In the extras, the feats are not named
I know. It's just a copy of a playbook so the feats are not the point of it. The point is to provide people with a playbook layout so they can make their own. The idea is to replace the feats with ones you come up with. It's not an extra playbook.
Okay, thanks
I haven't playtested this one yet, but the whole idea is so adorable. I fell in love with it on first sight. For me these goblins feel a bit like clowns in a good way (in their heart - like really trying to accomplish things but living in a difficult world that's not made for them).
If you were wondering about ableism: I found a note in the book about that, and the whole game isn't meant to be ableistic. It's not only but also about loving people as they are, as I see it. I hope I'll be able to play this soon!
Thank you for the kind words! 💚
Me and my friends are really excited to try this out! Plus, I love my shoddy goblin sketch, so I recommend the service.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for the support!
That seems to be a very fun and original role playing game! Can't wait to read the rules and give it a try! Cheers guys.
thanks! Happy to hear it. Let me know if you've got any feedback!
I will! Keep on the good work!
